Amtico delivers over 70,000 visors to key workers across the UK.
Over the past three months, we’ve used our manufacturing expertise to produce parts for life-saving Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
From our initial partnership with Merchant Taylors’ School in North London, we partnered with seven other schools nationwide, utilising our production facilities to produce parts on a much larger and faster scale. The schools assembled and delivered the shields through their supportive network of regional volunteers.

As schools returned from Easter holidays to a mix of virtual and socially distanced classes, Amtico took the decision to continue the free supply of face shields by working alongside trusted partners and long-term suppliers, including Tamworth-based printing organisation KEP Print Group.
Amtico is proud to have supported over 70,000 key workers with PPE, and we are now delivering flat-packed face shields direct to organisations including NHS hospitals, dental practices, care homes, doctors’ surgeries, schools and high street retailers.
The decision to supply the shields flat-packed has been warmly received, as they are both easier to store on-site and easier to disinfect prior to use. The hard-wearing headband material developed by Amtico's UK research and development team is also robust enough to be re-used and sanitised multiple times – reducing the amount of PPE waste generated.
We are also supplying free face shields to many of our retail partners on request, on request, to protect fitters and customers alike.
Speaking about Amtico’s free supply of face shields, Sean Dawson, Managing Director at The Hull Flooring Co Ltd said:
“Amtico supplied us with face shields free of charge, for use during site visits and installations. With the nature of our work conducted indoors, it’s important that we heighten our health and safety measures during this period of uncertainty. With the support of Amtico, we’re able to fulfil orders with the assurance that we’re protecting the health and wellbeing of our workforce and customers.”
Amtico is listed on the Government’s official PPE procurement website. For more information including how to request headbands, please contact ukmarketing@amtico.com.
